"L’artiste Conor Harrington dépeint à travers ses œuvres, des représentations d’échanges politiques, de discussions, de débats ou de combats. Alors qu’il avait pour habitude de peindre des scènes de combat explicites, il a ici opté pour une évocation plus ambiguë de la lutte politique :
« Je pense que la fresque sera plutôt appropriée avec les élections présidentielles qui approchent. La manière dont j’ai peint les personnages (dégoulinant, s’effondrant, s’effaçant) est assez significative des changements de la société française (et européenne). »
L’ambiguïté est présente également dans la posture des personnages, cette accolade pouvant représenter aussi bien un signe d’affection, de complicité qu’à l’inverse, une lutte.
