Origins
Invader, the pseudonym of a French artist born near Paris in 1969, is a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He draws inspiration from 1970s and 1980s video games, notably Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and Super Mario Bros., to create his works. Invader is now considered one of the pioneers of contemporary street art, alongside Banksy and Shepard Fairey.
