"Shepard Fairey a détourné l’une de ses précédentes œuvres, Make Art Not War, afin de réaliser cette fresque.
Elle représente une Marianne accompagnée d’un drapeau français, en hommage aux victimes de l’attentat du Bataclan, le 13 novembre 2015.
Selon l’artiste, le drapeau peut être interprété comme un symbole de nationalisme, ou comme un symbole de solidarité internationale et d’unité. À travers cette œuvre, il a souhaité exprimer son soutien.
Shepard Fairey subverted one of his own earlier murals, Make Art Not War, to create this one. It shows a Marianne with a French flag, in tribute to the victims of the Bataclan atrocity of 13 November 2015.
According to the artist, the flag can be interpreted either as a symbol of nationalism, or as a symbol of international solidarity and unity. He wanted to express his own support through this work
